What Are You About?

Why?
Mazuma is a credit union, meaning we offer all the services a bank offers but we’re owned by the people that use our services, not a group of stockholders. We report to our members and are responsible for assisting in their financial well-being. This is our priority. This is why we created whatareyouabout.org. Since Mazuma is All About You, we’re interested in what you’re all about. See our Journal.

What and When?
Beginning on September 1, 2008, you will be able to submit one (1) twenty-five (25) second video. The site has been set up to ask the question What Are You About? and is intended to be used not only as a tool of networking and sharing, but also one of creativity and self-discovery. The submission period starts September 1, 2008 and ends November 30, 2008 at 11:59 PM Central Time. Up to ten (10) videos will be chosen as finalists, from a panel of Mazuma Credit Union judges, and announced December 8, 2008. These will be featured on the web site and voted on by our online users – only three (3) will survive! First place wins a prize package valued at $9000, second place a package valued at $4000, third place a package valued at $2000. The voting period ends December 21, 2008 at 11:59 PM Central Time.  The three winning videos will be announced December 22, 2008 and will be considered for use in upcoming TV commercials.

How?
What we care about is you. So tell us what you care about, but do it in your own way. Your essence, your style, your sense of originality. Infuse your video with these qualities and you can’t go wrong. We just have a couple requests (we say requests, but really they’re demands):

• Please, no un-cited plagiarism. It will earn your video a one-way ticket to banville.
• No obscene, abusive or threatening audio or video. There’s an even longer list here. Don’t even try to slip one past us. We’re really nice people, but this will not be tolerated.
• No copyright infringement.
• Be You.
